VISION USA - Free Eye Care for Qualified Low Income Workers

Free eye exams are now available year-round for low-income workers and their families. Over 100 members of Nebraska Optometric Association donate their time and professional services through VISION USA, a nationwide eye exam program for uninsured low income people and their families who have no other means of obtaining care.

Who qualifies for free services?

To be eligible for VISION USA, individuals must:
  • be working or be part of a household with one member working at least part time
  • have no insurance that covers eye examinations
  • have an income level below an established level based on household size; and
  • have not had an eye exam in the past 24 months

To find out if you qualify:

Call 1-800-766-4466, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. CST,
Monday through Friday.

Qualifying patients will receive information about scheduling an examination with a participating doctor of optometry near them.
